Google Assistant on Android crashes after being asked something

The only solution that worked for me, and only temporarily:

Uninstall Google App Updates

1. Head to the Settings > Apps > See All [x] Apps.
2. Then select Google from the list.
3. Tap on the overflow icon (3 vertical dots) at the top right, then select Uninstall Updates.
4. Then tap OK in the confirmation dialog box that appears.

This only works for me until it’s updated to the new version ( a couple of days). [sigh]
